Philosophy
Matisse says it so well: “What I dream of is an art of balance, of purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter – a soothing, calming influence on the mind, rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.”
Art is a tangible link between our emotions and the physical world, a nonverbal playground for communication and gentle mischief. Its presence transforms the very way we experience a space, inviting us to look beyond the ordinary and discover the unexpected.
I believe its greatest gift is to awaken curiosity—of the eyes, the mind, and the spirit.
Style
My paintings move between styles, guided more by curiosity than by a plan. Each work finds its own expression, but the intention remains the same: to share feeling, invite discovery, and playfully entertain the eye.
